Hey, I'm Shawki.

I’m an engineer, designer, and performer based in New York, and soon to graduate with an MFA in Design and Technology from Parsons School of Design.

My engineering background, along with my design acumen helps me bridge the gap between the technical and the artistic, especially when working on projects with cross-functional teams. I have hands-on experience in software development, marketing, writing, UI/UX design, and video editing. I get excited by projects that live at the intersection of tech, product design, and storytelling.

I’m also passionate about the performing arts and created this portfolio in case my stand-up comedy career doesn’t kick off. Don't panic, I swear I’m half as competent as I am funny (and sometimes the other way around).
